Like all Nick's musical material this was enjoyable to play and very good for stamina building. It makes an excellent warm up!
It’s great Good presentation,fast send.Great job
A thing of beauty is a joy forever Thank you Nick
Will check out more lessons.
Very cool exercise :) Right now it is my go-to practice after scales warm-ups and as an ending or pause in every practice session, just to calm myself a little and focus on notes of each chord and pentatonic. I am not a pro musician, but I think it is a great blueprint to develop nice, full sound on saxophone and to not get tired too quickly.
Thank you. I am enjoying the Coltrane pentatonic ideas...it reminds me of the Melodic Minor approach that I like to use, yet, it has a special Spirit that connects to the tradition of and Spirit Coltrane peace...For anyone who is used to practicing the same thing, the PDF shares lots of cool new horizons to draw ideas from...Thanks for sharing. Peace through music...
I have been practising this exercise every day since I received the gift from Nick. It's great for meditation and it's also helping me get more in tune with Coltrane's music.
Started practicing yesterday. Cool! I transferred the mp3 into Ableton to slow down the song a little more since I'm beginning on tenor but I couldn't sync the tempo to the click track on the slow version. Would you be able to include the tempo info for the songs? I love meditating to your pieces though. Thanks!
Really enjoyed this ( who knew you could play Coltrane as a Meditation) awesome!!
Awesome. Would do it again
Although the primary purpose of this exercise is to follow the patterns given (which are excellent) it is also great aid to move away from the guide and explore the excellent chord choices yourself to see where you end up. Recommended.
Excellent product. Thank you JazzDuets
