MODULE 3 - THE MAJOR BLUES SCALE

The 6 Note Soul Scale is also known as the Major Blues scale. In this module we take a deep dive in to the importance of the 2nd or the 9th a so overlooked soulful note, as well we will see how we can add more colour and mood by adding in the 4th and the b6/#5 as a passing tone

MODULE 5 - EIGHT NOTE SOUL SCALE

We are going to look at the striking essential to know flavour that is known as the sharp #4 or the flattened b5.Perhaps the most digestable way to understand it, is as a passing tone from the 3rd to the 5th. Many famous tunes are using this technique, and I will present you with a few of them, and show you how to naturally insert it in your own Jazz vocabulary
