I have found Jazz Duets during my Covid quarantine. I appreciate the work Nick has put into these etudes, scale and arpeggio studies. They have help me focus and see real progress in developing my own Jazz language. They are a great spark for jumping into creativity and developing your own lines. Plus Nick has been responsive to problems that I have had due to my own error. Looking forward to working thru all of his studies.
Hi Nick: I’ve been a big fan of your videos for a long time. Have watched many and have learned so much from each of them. Minor pentatonics and triad pairs are favorite techniques that I’m continuing to learn about. I haven’t yet had a chance to spend much time with the material I just purchased, but I’m certain it will be as valuable as everything else I’ve learned from watching your videos. Stay safe and healthy, Fred
Mi sarebbe piaciuto ricevere anche la pagina di copertina, per conservare e visualizzare meglio i file. Grazie.
It's hard because I'm a slow sight reader but by slowing down, O;m learning and listening more. Just used to run scales and it became boring as soon as muscle memory became routinized.
Hey Nick, I can't tell you how much your lessons have inspired me, and how many interesting patterns have been added to my muscle memory. I've studied many sax solos, hoping to differentiate myself from other guitarists, which leads to my question: how do you account for competition when it comes to performing music? I've never thought that music should be competitive, but we all want to differentiate ourselves, right? Anyway, you are an amazing player, and a great marketer. I hope that you're an amazing businessman too. You deserve to profit from the valuable and entertaining content you provide. Thanks! Scott Pettersen PS: Are you a real person or AI?
For the price of a one hour music lesson I can purchase half a dozen of Nicks fun and informative exercises and keep myself busy for weeks.
I love getting things from Nick because I always learn something new that opens my mind to a new concept and an interesting sound experience.
This lesson & track are a great value. Definitely worth every penny. The practice backing track is really high quality I was happily surprised that it was actually two for one! Meaning it came at regular & slower tempos. Though this is my first purchase, I’ve been a fan of “Jazz Duet” on youtube for some time. Looking forward to more great content. Thanks -BB
Great job Nick! Thank you!
Hi Nick, all your information is great. I just have to drag my music theory abilities up to your level, to be able to process it better and faster. Thank you again! Steve Parrock.
good introduction, excellent material that makes you want to get deeper into the content
Great exercise. Thank you very much for your work, and I learned a lot.
A well written work. Bravo Nick
Very helpful and easy to follow and the sounds coming out of these pentatonic scale sound so good . Thank you.
