This collection of 9 Original lively pieces is ideal for Trumpet players of modest abilities who are just starting out and want a fun introduction to duet playing in the Jazz idiom. The original pieces that explore the Blues and Jazz styles are carefully written in comfortable keys, so as not to overwhelm young players. The lower part is slightly more challenging to play, suitable for a player who is slightly more experienced.
(Contains Memphis trio )

I'm 67 and haven't played for almost 50 years. I forgot how to read let alone play music. I have enjoyed practicing this music and it is just the right level for me trying get into playing the horn after all these years. Thanks Nick and how about some dixieland duet music going forward. It is also helpful when it is formated for solo along with duet sheet music
Randy! I am very pleased and happy to read this. Yes I have a Dixieland Duet. Great Idea. Thanks!
Love the tunes! I'd been looking for something like this so I'm glad I found the book!
Starting with up again after decades of not playing, and was looking for some easy, enjoyable music to play as I get my lips back in shape. This music hit the spot! Thank you. I will be purchasing again.
Overall - great. Easy to purchase. Good price. Some fun little tunes for dad and daughter to play with.
Hi John ! Thanks for the review. Thats nice to hear. Best, Jazz Duets
Convenient to download and easy to implement.
And my students like it so much !
I can play with my son who is beginner. Prefect book
Hi Adeline! That's nice to hear , thanks.!
Great duets to have fun with friends!
Great! It's a great book for me and my students
Fun and satisfying tunes for a beginner. Clever lines. Plenty of harmonic knowledge to unearth here and you can discern the beginning of Nick's vaunted "soul scale". I'll be buying the intermediate version soon enough.
Attractive, some more so than others. All are very good practice in reading and feeling swing rhythms. Downloading and printing were quick and easy, and the charts are clear and well spaced. More please!
A perfect way to enjoy jazz with beginner students and an excellent launch pad for talking and expanding jazz concepts all the while being comprehendible.
Great But I would love the utube of songs so I can listen to it correctly then play it
lo tuve que comprar dos veces por que la primera vez no lo pude descargar. en fin me gustaron tanto que volvi a comprarlos . saludos cordiales!
My primary instrument is trombone and euphonium. I picked up the trumpet to teach my granddaughter. The arrangements are great. Good for teaching. What I would like to see is bass clef too. Maybe I just need to be pointed in the right direction.
I’m enjoying this trumpet duo book and hope to start playing them with another trumpet buddy. Michael L
