John Coltrane's beautiful tune 'Wise One ' from his Classic 'Crescent' album
provides the inspiration for this tutorial.
We take some of Pianist McCoy Tyner stunning harmonic ideas and use them to construct triad pairs which we then interpolate on a static minor chord evoking different sound emotions.
The Triad Pair system is an incredibly powerful tool for the improvisor to master.
In this tutorial stunning real life examples are used as inspiration.

So nice, so beautiful, and so stimulating ! I thank you so much for your hard working on these materials. Your playing is shockingly spiritual. Great !
Perfect for me to broaden my guitar work outside my comfort zone. Between this and Triad Pairs I have wonderful practice material for years to come. Cresent is one of my favorite Coltrane titles.
This is an inspiring tutorial. I am enjoying working with it and applying the ideas to other tunes. Thanks NIck.
Hi Nick, I am very happy with my purchase of the John Coltrane Triad Pair Tutorial. I haven't done much work on it yet, but I know that I shall make great use of it over time. Same with all the other material I have bought from Jazz Duets and all the ideas I have gathered from your videos. Kep up the good work! Muchos saludos.
Very informative!
All perfect, exactly what I needed!
A great addition to the other triad pair lessons I've got from Nick, great stuff and cool sounds. I'd love if there would be pdfs in bass cleff as a standard to your offerings. Anyway, it's good eartraining to transcribe, thank you for your contribution to our practice material! Best Mikael
These are good to use for new sounds ...I would say this is more of a intervallic approach then a purely linear way of thinking and can open up a whole new broad approach way of thinking for your improv tool box.
Always a fabulous experience following those pearls of education teaching not only the techniques but the soul behind each different chord.
I love this information I have discovered. I have looking specific types of exercises to bring my playing together on the guitar. I am happy to have discover jazz duets.

This music quickly captured my attention. Nicks rendition of Coltrane's "Wise One" is emotionally stunning through his use of hauntingly beautiful and melancholy chord progressions and melody. Even the drone exercises are beautiful when played with the background tracks.
Very impressive
Lot of fun playing and exercising your triad pair ideas
Haven't had the time to do so yet
